Overview

Before you can create a new CSP Azure subscription, your customer account (in the platform) must have a Microsoft Identity (Tenant).  If this step is not complete, refer to this article for more information:  Associating a Microsoft Identity to A Customer


You can only have one tenant ID associated with an ION Customer account.  If your customer has multiple tenant IDs, then you would need to setup a new ION Customer account and repeat the process of associating the Microsoft Identity to the customer.


All new CSP Azure Subscriptions are requested and provisioned through the platform. 

  • You cannot link an existing CSP Azure Subscription (This requires the formal transfer process.  Contact your sales Representative for more information.)
  • You cannot link an existing PayGo Azure Subscription
  • You cannot link an existing EA Azure Subscription


Requesting a new Azure Plan Subscription (Account)

When choosing the Azure plan you must ensure the terms of the Microsoft Customer Agreement are accepted. This is a one-time provisioning of the Azure plan per customer (in Partner Center). The Azure plan acts as a container for all Azure subscriptions. When the Azure plan is provisioned, an Azure subscription underneath the Azure plan is created by default. To provision additional Azure subscriptions, you would NOT provision additional Azure plans. Instead, additional Azure subscriptions can be created under the customer’s existing Azure plan.  


Once the Microsoft Identity is associated to the customer (in the platform), navigate to the Products section under the selected customer.


1. Click Buy Products.  The cloud vendor product catalogs display.

2. Select Azure, then Microsoft Azure Plan. The right hand portion of the screen expands.

3. Click the shopping cart icon to add to the checkout cart (displays in the top right)



4. From the Cart & Checkout window, the systems validates information.  Once complete, the >>CONFIGURE option is active.  You see a "Pending Configuration" message next to the Order Summary.


5. Click >>CONFIGURE to continue



6. The Account Configuration window displays.  

  1. Displays company account information
  2. Confirms status of your order
  3. Acknowledgment to the creation and auto-assignment of user as Administrator for the tenant
  4. (Optional) Enter End Customer Purchase Order (PO) Number
  5. (Optional) Enter your Reseller PO Number you want TD SYNNEX to reference on our billing documents to you



7. Click Continue. The Configuration window displays confirming configuration is complete.


8. Click Close to return to the Cart & Checkout window


8. To complete the process, click Place Order


You can Close this window and the order remains in the Cart

You can Create Quote, or

Click link to < Continue Shopping


When you pick Place Order the following message displays:



Click an option to Confirm, Place Order  or click Cancel, Edit Cart


Confirming  creates the subscription under the Customer domain. Credentials to the account are sent (as our default process) to the email address listed in the Customer Information screen.  


Note:  If you create the Azure Plan subscription on behalf of your customer, we recommend rearming the click-through terms in your customer Storefront.  When the customer logs into the portal they are required to accept the Microsoft End Customer terms. 


If the customer requested the Azure Plan subscription (via the Storefront) you will receive an email notification.  Log into your ION account, go to Settings > Approval Requests.  Select the request from your queue and Approve or Deny.
