Overview:

This article covers how to set up and manage customer access to the customer portal/storefront.


Access to the Storefront is not provided through the same URL as access to the ION management console. To access the Customer Storefront (URL), associated to your ION account, please refer to this article: How Do I Find the End-Customer Portal URL?


In this article, you learn how to:

  • Create User Credentials
  • Reset passwords
  • Update user status
  • Delete end users


Prerequisite: Customer profile has been created. 


To create a new customer, refer to this article: Create a New Customer


If a customer profile is created using the sign-up process from the customer portal, the end-user login credentials are created at that time. You can create additional users in your Ion platform management console under the specific customer profile. (if applicable)




Add Users (from the management console)

1. Log into the platform: https://ion.tdsynnex.com 

2. Select the Customers menu.

3. Select a customer from the list and click Edit.

4. Select the Users menu.

6. Click Add

7. From the Add User screen, complete all the required fields.

8. Select a Status

  • Active (recommended): This status indicates the user is approved for access to the Custom Storefront. If you create a temporary password, request that the client use the Forgot Password link to set up a custom password.
  • Suspended: The user is unable to log into the portal.


9. Click Save


You can send an email to the user with the Customer Portal URL requesting that they use the Forgot Password link to log in. 





Edit User Status

1. Log into the platform: https://ion.tdsynnex.com

2. Select the Customer menu.

3. Select the customer account associated with the user and click Edit.

4. From the General menu, click Users.

5. Select a user from the list and click Edit.

6. Under the Status field, click the drop-down. The options are Active or Suspended (Pending Approval should not be selected).

6. When complete, click Save.



Delete a User

1. Log into the platform: https://ion.tdsynnex.com

2. Select the Customer menu.

3. Select the customer account profile associated with the user and click Edit.

4. From the General menu, click Users.

5. Select a user from the list and click Edit.

4. Click Users menu (in the left column).

5. Select the user and click Delete. The user deletion confirmation dialog displays.

6. Click "Yes" to complete the action.






Customer Portal URL:

URL without nickname: https://ion.tdsynnex/v2c/catalog?accountName= (enter your company nickname here).

You can find your nickname in StreamOne Ion under the [Settings] > Account Information page.
