An AWS Consent to Assignment (CTA) is a document that indicates Amazon Web Services' (AWS) approval for the transfer of ownership of an AWS account (specifically an AWS Organization) to another entity (TD SYNNEX). This ensures that AWS is informed of and consents to the transfer of account responsibility, including financial obligations, payment, and usage terms, prior to the change taking place. Essentially, it mandates written consent before an AWS account can be assigned to a new owner.
To begin the process of an AWS Consent to Assignment (CTA), you must provide the following information: the current account owner's details (name, contact information), the new account owner's details (name, contact information), business type or legal entity, the AWS account number, a description of the reason for the transfer, and signatures from both the current and new account owners (TDS).
