Support plans were previously created as charges through the Charge and Discount module in the settings menu. These charges were assigned to the Parent Reseller Account under the cloud accounts option (e.g., ISV or Country) and were only visible to the reseller in the usage reports.
Support plans as charges are now visible in the catalog and programs section, allowing them to be associated with a subscription. However, this functionality was not previously used for the buy flow or in the marketplace.
With this release, support plans will now be created as products. The catalog has been extended to allow charges to be associated at the plan/SKU level, and this functionality has also been extended to the marketplace.
With this initial release Support Plans will be supported in USA and Canada. APIs, Billing, and White Label Store Front support are not in scope for this release.
