The TD SYNNEX AWS Master Account (or payer) manages access, consolidates the billing data, and facilitates governance for the organization. We offer these options for Master Payer Accounts (MPA):

  • Shared Consolidation
  • Dedicated Payer by Reseller
  • Dedicated Payer by End Customer

A reseller who operates as an ISV or MSP may be the root-level owner of linked accounts under a dedicated payer.

A reseller who operates as a Distribution Seller is supported through the AWS End Customer account model. See that table below to learn more about these operating models:

Shared Master Payer
Dedicated Master Payers (MPA for a specific customer or partner accounts)
  • Shared payer for single, free-standing accounts (most AWS accounts are in the shared payer)
  • Tech Data is the Master Payer Account - MPA (Root owner)
  • Consolidated Billing only; no other AWS Org features enabled
  • End Customer retains root access to all their accounts (End Customer Account Model*)
  • End Customer does not have access to Cost & Usage Report (CUR) or Detailed Billing Report (DBR)
  • No customer/partner workloads are created in the MPA

  • MPA is dedicated to a single end customer organization
  • Tech Data owns the MPA (root)
  • End Customer receives Administrator access to payer to manage service control policy (SCP's), SSO's, Landing zones, Control Tower, account creation and other activities
  • End Customer does not have access to Cost & Usage Report (CUR) or Detailed Billing Report (DBR) however, integration with third-party platforms is possible with Tech Data's assistance
  • No customer workloads are created or displayed in MPA
  • Hierarchical grouping of your accounts (OU's)
