Navigation:  Settings > Billings > Currency Conversion


US Dollars is the platform's default currency for most cloud providers. In the Currencies table, you may create, change, and manage custom currency conversions. Only your customers are affected by the currency choices on your account. The currencies settings are controlled individually if you have a "partner-level" StreamOne Ion account.  


Important! The platform's currency rates are not dynamically updated. The Reseller is in responsible to maintain currency exchange rates. The currency exchange rate must be specified or modified before any billing report can be generated.


Currency settings display in:

  • Customer Billing Reports
  • Billing Statements (SIE Invoices)
  • Dashboards

 

To view the default currency and the Currencies table, Go to: Settings > Billing > Currency Conversion


Set any currency conversion rates you need for invoicing. If you invoice your customers in the same currency the cloud provider invoices you, then you do not have to create additional conversion rate preferences.


If you invoice some customers in a different currency (for example you may import AWS charges in USD but invoice your customer in EUR) then you need to add a currency conversion default for USD.



To add a Currency Rate to the Currencies table:   

  • Click [Add]
  • In the ‘From’ column, select the currency type
  • In the 'To' column, select the currency rate to convert to.  (Example format 0.1234)
  • Then click [Save]


To edit a currency rate in the Currencies table:

  • Select the current in the table and double-click to edit
  • Update the rate, then [Save]


 

To modify the default currency for Customer Billing Reports, Billing Statements/StreamOne Ion Invoices, and Dashboards:

  • Located at the bottom of the Currencies table section, under the heading, Edit default currency. Click the drop-down arrow next to the default currency.
  • Select the new default currency then [Save]
