Overview: This knowledge base article covers default settings for your StreamOne ION platform account. The cloud
platform includes powerful features such as dashboards, analytics, custom storefronts, build your own solutions, and
end-customer access and control. Default configurations are located throughout the menu options under Settings.
Parts of the Settings Menu
The tables below are short descriptions of the sub-menu screens. Following the table, you will find detailed instructions
on how to configure some of the settings within these screens.
> Settings - Account
Sub Menu | Description |
Account Information | This screen displays important details about your company's identification in the platform database. It also includes the Public Profile fields, which are used by several platform features. |
Users | Owners can add, modify, and suspend your administrative users with access to the management console. |
Logs | The Log entry table records any changes made to the platform's price books by your platform administrators. |
Approval requests | The approval requests table keeps track of all the workflows associated with customer portal requests. These entries should be used to approve or deny the request. |
Partner Invites | The sent invitation table tracks requests sent to a partner-level customer from the platform. (Not applicable for most reseller accounts) |
Email Templates | This menu contains features that allow you to customize the workflow messages generated by the platform, enable/disable specific email templates, and configure templates to use with your business domain. |
Terms | Manage all the click-through terms for end customers. |
Callback | Use callbacks when building a custom product displayed in an active customer marketplace portal. (Not applicable for most reseller accounts) |
Third-party Integrations | Manage cloud provider API credentials associated with Products you may build in your marketplace portal. *(Not applicable for most reseller accounts) |
Password Requirements | The password requirements sent on this screen apply to all users (reseller and end customer) access. |
Account Options | Not applicable for most reseller accounts |
Legal and Compliance | Primarily used by the European resellers to meet the GDPR requirements |
> Settings - Billing
Sub Menu | Description |
Invoice Options | Settings in this screen determine how the platform supports your billing statement/invoice process. All cloud vendors in the platform bill in arrears but may include order dates that cross over months. AWS RI purchases allow you select how you want to bill for Reserved Instance (RI) purchases as AWS invoices them upon purchase vs at the end of the month. There are three options: 1. Invoice for RI purchases at end-of-month 2. Invoice for RI purchases immediately 3. Exclude all RI purchases from billing report |
Detailed Billing exports | Settings in this screen support an automated process to write detailed billing files to an AWS S3 bucket or GCP storage. You can export data across all your customers into a storage solution at your cost and/or your customer price. See additional comments below. |
Cloud Accounts | The cloud accounts table should be empty. If cloud accounts are listed in this table, there may have been a configuration error, or you are leveraging the test drive feature of the platform that calls an account or subscription to support the test drive to execute. |
Taxes | If you want your billing, statements in the platform to reflect taxes you can manage tax tables on this screen. See additional comments below. |
Charges and discounts | Create, configure, and manage support plans, as well as custom charges for your customers. This section contains the support plan templates. |
Currencies | In this table, you can manage multiple currencies. Currencies can be configured in a drop-down list on several platform screens (dashboard, reports, and invoices) |
If you use the platform Tax Tables and you issue a credit to your customer in the platform, the
Include Credits for Tax Calculation feature allows you to have the credit look at tax fees on the billing statement as
value against the applied credit. This is a global setting.
The text entered in the Billing Statement Notes box displays every billing statement generated on the platform.
> Settings - Customer Storefront
Sub Menu | Description |
Customer Signup | When a new customer signs up using your customer portal URL, these settings are applied. |
Portal functionality | The features in this list of options determine what your customer has access to via the customer portal. |
Catalog Look & Feel | This screen contains the customization and branding controls for the customer portal, such as the Banner image. |
To enable or disable a feature, use the toggle.

Portal Setting | Description |
Enable Catalog | Catalog is Storefront/Marketplace view of all cloud providers resold by our cloud partners. Enabled is the default setting. |
Enable Reports | Reports available to end customers are specific to the cloud products that the end customer is authorized to purchase through a reseller. Enabled is the default setting. |
Enable Cloud Accounts | This setting will allow an end customer to request new accounts in your portal. Enabled is the default setting. |
Enable Invoices | If Billing Statements/StreamOne Ion invoices are generated on the platform, the reseller has the option to share the non-payable billing statement at the customer portal. Enabled is the default setting. |
Enable Dashboards | Dashboards available to end customers are specific to the cloud products that the end customer is authorized to purchase through a reseller. Enabled is the default setting. |
Catalog settings are used to brand your end customer Marketplace portal. You can assign font colors associated to the
title and subtitle – select the appropriate color next to the title or subtitle. The image will be visible at the top of the page.
Note: The Header Image size recommendations is a ratio of 1018 x 286.
